Four jury verdicts obtained by Owen Murphy have drawn statewide attention and been featured in established legal publications.  In February 2011, Owen Murphy obtained a favorable jury verdict in Bryan County, Georgia, in the case of Cranford v. Ernest Homes.  The case was featured in the Georgia Trial Lawyers Association’s publication, Verdict, in the Summer 2011 issue.  The jury’s verdict was more than 30 times the last offer of the defendant before trial.

In July of 2011, Owen Murphy obtained a verdict in Chatham County, Georgia, in the case of Osteen v. Memorial Transport.  The verdict was featured on the front page of Georgia’s leading legal newspaper, the Daily Report, in the July 26, 2011 issue.  The jury’s verdict was more than 8 times the last offer of the defendant before trial.

In August of 2014, Owen Murphy obtained a verdict in Liberty County, Georgia, in the case of Rorro v. Wal-Mart Stores East, L.P.  The verdict was featured on the front page of the Daily Report in the August 25, 2014 issue.  The jury’s verdict was more than 17 times the last offer of the defendant before trial. In July of 2015, the Rorro verdict was recognized in the Daily Report as the largest slip and fall verdict in the State of Georgia in 2014.

In March of 2018, Owen Murphy obtained a verdict in Chatham County, Georgia, in the case of Simmons v. SouthCoast Medical Group. The verdict was featured on the front page of the Daily Report in the March 9, 2018 issue as well as being featured on local news and television. The jury’s verdict was 90 times the last offer of the defendant before trial. The Simmons verdict currently stands as the largest jury verdict on record in Chatham County, Georgia.
